When you’re visiting Marrakech, you have to stay in a Riad. Riad is the Arabic word for “garden” and stands for a house with an open patio and trees in it. Most of the Riads are hard to find, because they’re hidden behind heavy doors. However, once you found them you wish you could stay there for ever, especially when they give you the same feeling as Riad BE.
Very hidden gem
We got lost several times, but luckily we found the blue door to Riad BE. If you ask us to describe this place, we have to say it has a very relaxing and laid back vibe. This place really gives you the opportunity to chill after a day in the booming Medina. The interior looks Moroccan with a touch of vintage, which we love! And there’s a pool. I mean: do we really have to say more?
Relaxing rooftop terrace
But there’s more (yeah you didn’t see that coming after the pool). Riad BE offers you a very sunny rooftop terrace with… Wait for it… A hammock and a swing chair! OH. MY. GOD! Can we just stay here for ever?!
As you can see, this is the perfect spot to work on your tan while enjoying a delicious Moroccan meal.
We had our lunch (Moroccan beef tajine and a Moroccan salad) on the terrace while enjoying the sun. After our lunch, we couldn’t resist to test the swing chair and the hammock. Unfortunately we weren’t staying in this riad, but we will definitely recommend it to everybody else who’s planning a trip to Marrakech. Oh and a big plus: the staff speaks English! But no worries, if you prefer French, it won’t be a problem for them.
