There are many things you shouldn’t miss during your travels and a breakfast bowl is definitely one of them. Bali seems to be the breakfast bowl paradise and Canggu is serving the best bowls in town. Are you a big fan of having a healthy breakfast with fresh fruits, a granola-topping and good vibes? Of course you are and the Betelnut Cafe is definitely the place to be.
We love to introduce: the Betelnut Cafe
The Betelnut Cafe is located in Canggu, Bali. The cafe is a five minute walk from Echo Beach. It’s easy to find by motorcycle and they are offering free parking. They will serve you, with a big smile, seven days a week from 7AM – 10PM.
It’s a popular place, which means you might have to wait a few minutes before you can eat. Don’t leave, they won’t disappoint you.
Their breakfast bowls will absolutely get you mouthwatering, but you can also have lunch or dinner. You should definitely give their Chicken avo wrap, their cakes, or their raw food version of the traditional Gado Gado a try. For example, their carrot cakes are to die for! Furthermore, they also serve vegetarian and vegan dishes, which means there’s a meal for everybody.
Are you on a short break from surfing? Re-energise yourself by ordering a Jamu or a wheatgrass smoothie, or get yourself a cup of coffee.
Warning: the bowls and the vibe of Betelnut Cafe can be highly addictive. Iris kept coming back to this place every single day at 7AM, to get herself a breakfast bowl while watching the city of Canggu wake up.
You will pay around 150.000 idr (€9,80 – 11.25 USD) for a dinner for two, including drinks. Looking at the standards of Bali, the pricing is considered to be average. However, regarding the quality and freshness of the products, it is definitely the best bang for your buck!

The place has Wi-Fi, making it a perfect place to FaceTime with everybody at home while making them jealous of what they’re missing out on. As mentioned before, the menu includes raw, vegan, and vegetarian food. They have a delivery-service, and the staff is quick and always smiling. They’re on Instagram too and they repost your photos of their food and smoothies!
Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Bali, you won’t regret it. If you did visit the Betelnut Cafe, please let us know in the comments or by tagging us in your photo. We would love to know the experiences of fellow travel lovers at this magical place!
